Where does Southern Lake Builders build?
We build custom homes on and around Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair in central Georgia, including Greene, Morgan, Putnam, Baldwin, and Hancock Counties.
Do you build on lots I already own?
Yes. Most of our clients already own a lot or have one under contract. We'll walk the property with you and tell you what it will take to build there.
Can you help me evaluate a lot before I buy it?
Yes, and we recommend it. Shoreline footage, lot history, septic, slope, and Georgia Power rules all affect what you can build and where your dock can go.
Do you handle Georgia Power and county permits?
We coordinate the permit process with you, including county building and septic permits and the Georgia Power permits required for work near the shoreline.
Do you also do remodels, sitework, and land clearing?
Yes. Along with new custom homes, we remodel and expand existing lake homes and handle sitework and land clearing to get lots ready to build.
